On Oct. 4, students at Charles Hoffman Elementary School donned their old clothes and got ready to paint the plows on 10 trucks that lined up in the school’s yard. This was the third year that the students decorated the plows, getting them ready for winter. “It was a great day,” said Jaime Stiansen, vice president of the PTA, which coordinated the event. “We had the CHP, Caltrans and the county with us today. What I love is that Caltrans says, ‘This is just what we do now.’” Stiansen extends the thanks of the PTA and the students to Z Painting for donating the paint.
