Boards allow lake to rise

Regional Park crews were able to position the boards back at Lake Gregory’s spill basin on April 10, enabling the water level at the lake to rise as much as three feet. For those readers wondering why the boards only recently were put back at the spill basin, a source at the county told The Alpine Mountaineer that the State of California, which has jurisdiction over this process, does not allow the county to do so until after April 1 of each year.
