The Skyforest Elks Lodge in Rimforest recently received a $2,000 Elks Gratitude Grant which the lodge presented to Operation Provider to help support the group’s food bank program. On hand to present the check were (left to right) Joe Valdivia, the lodge’s exalted ruler; Holland Lowe, Operation Provider’s founder; Lise Shipley, lecturing knight and grants coordinator; and Marla Marganian, lodge secretary. The grant was “another way our lodge contributes back to the mountain community to assist families during these difficult times,” Valdivia told The Alpine Mountaineer. (Photo by Mike Harris)
