What better time to show appreciation for the staff at Mountains Community Hospital and love for the Skilled Nursing Facility residents than Valentine’s Day?

The Worship committee and the Mission Action Team at Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church – represented by the Rev. Bill Stanley, John Millsap and Carol Stanley – delivered cupcakes, donuts, sugar-free lemon cake and Keurig coffee pods to the SNF and little boxes with chocolates for the hospital staff on Feb. 13. The treats were accompanied by red plates and napkins as well as Valentine’s Day cards.

“Usually on Valentine’s Day,” said Cheri Altmeyer, the SNF activities director, “we send out invitations and have a family Valentine’s Day party with treats and a special cake with all the residents’ names on them.
“Since we couldn’t have that this year, having these treats made everyone feel a little bit normal again. And it was so good to see Pastor Stanley!” Altmeyer added.
