The plows are ready for winter

Nov 4, 2021 | Front Page

Once again this year, Caltrans brought its plows to Charles Hoffman Elementary School for the students to embellish them with their artwork.

Jaime Stiansen organized the event through the school’s PTA. Tim Richards from Caltrans partnered with the school and Rim Forest Lumber donated the paint. All other supplies were purchased by the PTA.

“Jaime Stiansen is amazing at allowing the students to be creative and inspiring their ideas to work with a cohesive theme,” said Mary DeBruyn, the PTA president. “Many wonderful parent volunteers donated their day to keep the kids organized around gallons of exterior paint!”

Mountain residents should watch for the students’ work on the roads once the snow flies.
