The Lake House in Cedar Glen will close its 14th season of First Fridays this Friday, Dec. 1, featuring the work of artists Nils Lafon and Laura Wambsgans.
From 4 to 7 p.m., folks are invited to meet the artists while they enjoy some beverages and hors d’oeuvres.

Nils Lafon
Nils Lafon was born in France, in a small beach town by the Atlantic Ocean, where he found his love for nature and visual elements. His grandfather, who was his mentor, was also his inspiration and teacher for all art forms, including pottery, sculpture and wood art.
Lafon specializes in wood art as a medium of expressing himself. He lived in Thailand for five years before moving to California, where he shares his time between Lake Arrowhead and Los Angeles.
Native Californian Laura Wambsgans began landscape oil painting 16 years ago, after working as the managing director of a major recording studio and then as a sculptor for two decades.
She strives to capture the effect of light on the land through color and paint quality. Since 1986, Wambsgans’ work has been exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions.
At each First Friday, the Lake House donates 10 percent of all sales during the event to a local charity. The December recipient is Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities.
The Lake House is located at 28966 Hook Creek Road in Cedar Glen. For more information, visit www.lakehousecollection.com.
