The harvest moon – which occurred this year on Sept. 10 – is always a thrilling sight, one not to be missed.
The UCLA Mountain Bruins are hosting a local night dinner, Under a Harvest Moon, which will also be an event not to be missed.
The dinner will take place at the Lake Arrowhead Lodge on Sunday, Oct. 30 with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30.
This “spooktacular” seated dinner will be prepared by Chef Francisco Roman and is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to come dressed for fun – and a costume contest!
Net proceeds will go to the UCLA Mountain Bruins scholarship fund.
The dinner will begin with French onion soup, followed by a fall harvest salad (baby greens, beets, pear, feta cheese, and walnuts topped with a balsamic vinaigrette). Diners will have a choice of salmon with peach chutney, rib eye with Boursin brandy butter, or braised green lentil with grilled cauliflower steak. Sides include garlic and herb-roasted potatoes and seasonal roasted vegetables. Dinner will conclude with pot de crème.
Tickets are $75 for members and $80 for non-members. Visit www.uclamountainbruins.org/event-details/under-a-harvest-moon.
