On Saturday, Oct. 29, 585 pounds of unused and unwanted prescription drugs were turned in to eight San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department locations as part of the 23rd nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
The sheriff’s department and the DEA appreciate the participation of the public who turned in unused or unwanted drugs.
A total of 62 pounds of prescription drugs was turned in at the Twin Peaks station. The totals at the seven other stations were: Barstow, five pounds; Central, 42; Chino Hills, 107; Highland, 95; Morongo Basin, 34; Rancho Cucamonga, 220; and Victorville, 20.
