Rim of the World High School’s mental health awareness club, Safe Space, recently put on a fun arts and crafts event in the Mental Wellness Center on campus.
With finals coming up and the semester ending — along with it being the first semi-normal year since the pandemic began— everyone is stressed and panicking. There has not been much time to take any moments of self-care, which is why the club decided that the theme of this month’s event would be “healing your inner child.”
Students put aside their stressful responsibilities for a moment to create art and watch cartoons during lunch.
Some students chose to make holiday cards, others drew what came to their mind, and the rest had their eyes glued on the projecting cartoon, Avatar: The Last Air Bender.
They all had fun letting their creative side loose.
