Rock The Rim benefit concert, June 17th, Lake Arrowhead.

The snow from the winter storms may have melted but things are not “magically better.”

That is the message from Andrew Braggins, an event coordinator who has planned a benefit concert to help in the mountain communities’ long-haul recovery.

Rock the Rim will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tudorville, the outdoor venue at The Tudor House.

“People are still suffering from lost income, collapsed roofs, property damage, closed businesses,” Braggins noted. “But our communities came together.

“We want to continue the recovery efforts with a free fundraising festival and a goal of $20,000 to be dispersed throughout our Rim communities. Our partner for the fund distribution is Hearts & Lives.”

The lineup of musicians for the festival includes:

  • Destiny Love, 11-11:50 a.m.
  • Speakeasy Quartet, 12-12:50 p.m.
  • Groove Cats, 1:00-1:50 p.m.
  • Byproducts, 2:00-3:50 p.m.
  • Buzz Box, 4:00-5:50 p.m.

Food will be available from a number of vendors, including Tacos y más by Angela, Whoosh, The Off Road Coffee Stop and Mr. Porky’s BBQ.

Vendors expected to participate are Mountain Mystics, The Palace of Bone and Salt, Devina’s Chalet Kitchen, Sterling Feather Studio, Baba Yaga Balenciaga, Deon Fragrances , Fasthorse Creations , Raven’s Flight & NoNo’s Herbals, Brenda Cuzzi Tarot card Readings, Drinkin Class Clothing, Harvest Moon Apothecary, Crestline Dream, Native Earth Creations , Scentsy With Vanessa Jones, Wears The Mountain and Riley’s Brand.

In addition, there will be a kids zone petting zoo by Tres Leches.

While Braggins hopes everyone will attend, those unable to may scan the QR code on the flyer to make a donation.
