Remembering Ana Maria Conesa de Moseley

Nov 8, 2023 | Communities, Obituaries

Ana María Conesa de Moseley is beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She passed away unexpectedly while visiting the family Crestline home on July 28, 2023.

Her children and eight grandchildren honor her for blessing them with unwavering devotion, attention, time and unconditional love.

Growing up in Crestline, her five children assumed the reputation she exemplified for them: respectful to others, diligent students, risk-takers, spiritual, a strong work ethic and with integrity and values. “The “Moseleys” became synonymous with her core values.

Ana lived by her virtues to an almost unattainable degree – and yet, she remained humble and deeply empathetic to others. In her community she was known to lend a sympathetic ear, offer help when others turned their backs and share hope to the most unsuspecting. She sought to brighten the mood with laughter and innocent wit.

Ana worked hard. She learned to drive for the first time at 36, after growing up in a city with public transportation. She learned better English after memorizing codes for checking groceries and pleasantly interacting with shoppers at Goodwin’s. She attended to the needs and financed college degrees for all five children. Ana did this alone. She was a sole parent in every way. And yet, she didn’t give up hope and continued her devotion to providing a warm, safe home environment and the best life she could offer.

Ana was a pillar of strength and offered her offspring deep stability. Everything she did was either for her children or for those who also loved her children. She was unwavering in her presence for them.

Ana is now with her beloved parents and sisters. However, she is also as near to the five lives she has transformed with her unique and everlasting love. Las manos de nuestra madre parecen pájaros en el aire.

The family invites you to join them in a celebration of Ana’s life on Nov. 25, 2023, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church in Crestline. The liturgy will be from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
