On Friday, Nov. 10, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of criminal threats made by Brandon Byrd against employees at a Crestline bar.

Byrd, a 40-year-old resident of Crestline, was a patron at the business, located in the 23800 block of Lake Drive. He was refused service due to his level of intoxication and was escorted off the premises. He threatened to return and shoot employees.

During the investigation, deputies located Byrd, who was armed with a loaded shotgun, as he walked from his residence back to the business. Byrd threw the firearm, then fled back to his residence where he was apprehended.

Byrd was booked in at the Central Detention Center and charged with criminal threats, in lieu of $150,000 bail.
