Running Springs resident David Gumpertz brought support for the Rim of the World Educational Foundation from Schools First Federal Credit Union in the form of a $2,000 check. He presented it to President Jo Bonita Rains and board members Anne Marie Van Hulle, Patricia Nelson and Mary-Justine Lanyon. “This is so special to me,” Gumpertz, the credit union’s senior membership development specialist, said, “because my children went through the Rim schools.” The Rim Ed Foundation supports three programs: AVID, the CTE classes and Partnership with Schools awards.
