Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. This day of giving was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.

Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

It’s more important than it ever has been to show up for our communities. Support your local social good organizations, mutual aid networks and community organizers. Do an act of kindness or help a neighbor. Identify your gifts, pick a cause that gets you fired up and give back – not just for Giving Tuesday but every day.

The Rim of the World Educational Foundation invites the community to a Giving Tuesday celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lakefront Tap Room in Lake Arrowhead Village. Come and help Rim Ed reach its goal of raising $7,500 for education – that money will go toward the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program, the CTE (Career Technical Education) classes and Rim Ed’s Partnership with Schools awards, which are given to all six Rim campuses.

For just a $10 donation, enjoy some appetizers with Rim Ed board members and learn more about the Foundation’s mission and goals.

The Lakefront Tap Room will graciously donate a portion of all proceeds that evening to Rim Ed.

For more information on Rim Ed, visit rimedfoundation.org.
