Each year the National PTA sponsors an arts program called Reflections, inviting students to submit their work that reflects that year’s theme. The 2025 Reflections theme is “Accepting imperfection.”
At Rim of the World High School, 13 students submitted entries in the Visual Arts category, 12 in Photography and one in Film.
The judges took on the monumental task of ranking these submissions.
In the Visual Arts category, Victor Bahena’s work titled “Perfect in Every Aspect” took first place, followed by Kaitlynne Bailey’s “Accepting Imperfections” and Shelby Gross’ “My Beautiful Broken Vase.”
“Celebrating Generational Features,” the photo by Jazmin Bahena, took first place in Photography, followed by “Imperfect Perfections” by Amelia Garcia and “Through Time Frames” by Mylee Perrault.
The film “Pobody’s Nerfect” by Nadia Sherrill took first place in Film.
The students will receive their trophies and medals at an awards ceremony in the new year.
George Whitty, who has chaired the local Reflections contest for several years, expressed his thanks to all the participating students.
