The participants in EarlyAct in Grades 1,2,3,4 and 5 at Valley of Enchantment Elementary School were treated to an ice cream party by the Crestline-Lake Gregory Rotary Club, which sponsors the clubs.

Rotarians Linda and Stanley Oswalt scooped the ice cream and then Rotarians Jeri-Lynn Miller and Angela Harrington topped the ice cream with chocolate syrup, a variety of sprinkles and whipped cream.

The fifth-grade club had voted to raise money this school year to support Noah Bard and his family. Noah, who was born with a congenital heart problem, is waiting for a heart transplant. When that happens, he and his family will have to stay down the hill for months while he recuperates. The $500 the fifth-grade EarlyAct club raised will help the family with those expenses.
