The Odyssey Adventure Co. once again invites audiences into the haunting world of Edar Allan Poe with “Nevermore,” a one-of-a-kind murder mystery dining experience at the Lakefront Tap Room.

Last year, “Nevermore” captivated audiences with its gothic atmosphere, puzzling gameplay and dramatic storytelling. The experience returns with a new three-course menu, an improved mystery to unravel and an immersive theater experience designed to rival productions in major cities.

“This isn’t just dinner theater,” said co-creator Lyndsie Scoggin. “We handcraft every element from the story and characters to the puzzles, set pieces and audio design. People don’t just watch a show – they live inside it. We are passionate about bring quality entertainment to Lake Arrowhead.”

Odyssey Adventure Co. is working with Chef Tyler Halcomb at the Lakefront Tap Room to create a prix fixe menu inspired by the world of Poe. Each dish will be custom designed to complement the gothic themes.

Guests at last year’s production working to solve the mystery.

“We’re definitely not serving the regular menu,” added Chef Halcomb. “This menu is specially created for ‘Nevermore’ and brings entirely new dishes that were not served last year.”

The chef noted allergies and dietary needs will be considered; guests just need to let them know in advance.

Guests will be invited into Poe’s tortured imagination. There they will explore the tragic loss of his love, Lenore, and unravel secrets hidden among a cast of intriguing characters. This year the role of Peo will be brought to life by rising actor Steve Milliken.

“’Nevermore,’” said co-creator Morghann Stevens, “is like theater meets an escape room. We want guests to feel transported for the evening. For this show, we use carefully crafted immersive audio and music to give the sense of breaking the veil between ours and the spirit realm.”

“For us,” Stevens and Scoggin added, “this isn’t just about putting on a show. It’s about creating a night out that feels extraordinary, like something that transports you, surprises you and maybe even unsettles you in the best way.”

“Nevermore” will take place on Oct. 21, 22 and 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakefront Tap Room in Lake Arrowhead Village. Tickets are only available online at www.ticketleap.events/tickets/odyssey-adventure-co/nevermore-taproom.
