Deceased woman found in Crestline identified
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, at about 11:42 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station responded to Highway 138 and Crestline Road for a found deceased person. When deputies arrived, they located the decedent about 75 feet down a steep embankment.
The Specialized Investigations Division responded and assisted in the investigation. The San Bernardino County Fire Department also responded and retrieved the female from the side of the mountain before she was transported to the coroner’s office.
An autopsy was conducted and injuries consistent with a fall were noted. The victim was described as a white female adult, approximately 48 to 60 years old, 5-1, weighing 115 pounds who wore blue pants, a blue sweatshirt and white tennis shoes.
On Saturday, Nov. 29 the coroner’s office positively identified the deceased woman as Aryan Papoli, a 58-year-old resident of Newport Beach who had been reported missing.
The death investigation is ongoing.
