Members of the Rim of the World Educational Foundation board with Heather Hackney at the Giving Tuesday event hosted by Heather and John Hackney at the Lakefront Tap Room. The Hackneys donated a portion of the proceeds from the sales on the evening of Dec. 2. Rim Ed raised more than $7,000 through Giving Tuesday donations. The funds are used to support AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) at the intermediate and high school, CTE (Career Technical Education) classes at the high school and Partnership with Schools awards at all of Rim’s campuses.
