Lake Arrowhead woman arrested in home remodeling fraud

In October 2024, the victim signed a project agreement with the suspect, Victoria Rogers, 58 of Lake Arrowhead, to remodel the kitchen and three bathrooms at his Lake Arrowhead residence. To initiate the project, Rogers instructed the victim to write an upfront check for $67,500.00 payable to her business, “Coronado by Design.”

After receiving the funds, Rogers delayed the project with various excuses for nearly a year, rendering no services at the property. The victim formally requested a full refund but, in November 2025, Rogers ceased all communication and failed to return any money.

Victoria Rogers

Further investigation confirmed Rogers received the victim’s money and willfully failed to apply the funds toward materials or labor. As the investigation unfolded, detectives identified additional victims who suffered thousands of dollars in financial losses.

On Thursday, July 23, Rogers was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. She faces nine felony and misdemeanor charges, including PC 532(a) – Theft by False Pretenses; PC 487 – Grand Theft; and PC 484b – Diversion of Construction Funds.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Rogers’ photograph. Anyone with information related to this investigation (Case No. 052501625) is encouraged to contact Detective Kris Powers of the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station at (909) 336-0668.
