The Inland Counties Legal Service, in partnership with the Lake Arrowhead branch library, is hosting a community education presentation on common scams targeting seniors.
Learning how to identify a scam, report these crimes and share your story can help take the power away from predators.
Some common scams that will be discussed are tech support scams, government imposter scams, family imposter scams and home repair scams. Attendees will learn about common contact methods used by scammers, how to prevent such scams and how to report them if they have occurred.
The free program will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead branch library, located at 27235 Highway 189 in Blue Jay.
