Update on Erik Eduardo Navarro
At the Oct. 6 meeting of the combined Crest Forest and Lake Arrowhead Municipal Advisory Councils, Capt. Craig Harris of the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station reported that Erik Eduardo Navarro is in custody.
Navarro was being sought for attacking a 71-year-old Crestline woman with a bat. He had been living in her home and allegedly beat her with the bat when she asked him to leave.
Navarro was also the prime suspect in the theft of a Picasso line drawing from Molly’s Art Gallery in Crestline.
Capt. Harris said that, acting on a tip, they located Navarro in Oklahoma at the home of a relative. “We contacted local police and got an interstate warrant for his arrest. He is in jail in Oklahoma, pending charges, and will be extradited here.”
