Earn a ‘villainous’ book bag at county libraries

Oct 6, 2022 | Education

The libraries in the San Bernardino County library system – including the branches in Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, and Running Springs – invite residents to earn a free book bag during October.
The program, which began on Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 31, allows residents to get a villains-themed book bag for every 30 items they check out from a San Bernardino County library. To be extra villainous, be sure to collect all four styles of the bag.
This bag campaign is another opportunity to celebrate and support the countywide literacy campaign, Vision2Read. Reading at grade level by the third grade is one of the greatest predictors of children’s success in school, their likelihood of going to college, and their future earning potential.
