How mountain clubs make Rotary relevant

When Rotary 5330 District Governor Don Casper and his wife, Veronica, arrived at Pali Mountain for his visit with the four mountain Rotary clubs, they were greeted with cheering Rotarians singing and stomping along to “We Will Rock You.” (1) The Rotarians honored Casper’s theme by holding up letters to spell out Make Rotary Relevant (2). Each of the four mountain presidents – Assistant Governor Michelle French (Mountain Sunrise), Dawn Hartmeister (Big Bear), Mary-Justine Lanyon (Crestline-Lake Gregory) and Terry Ebert (Lake Arrowhead) – explained to Casper how their club makes Rotary relevant to their members, their partners, the community and to themselves. (3) “These are four exciting clubs,” Casper said as he began his remarks. (4)
