County libraries team up with Baker’s for a book club

The branches of the San Bernardino County library system – including those in Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, and Running Springs – are partnering with Baker’s Drive-Thru to promote reading among children and teens throughout the county.
The Baker’s Book Club program kicked off on Oct. 3 and will continue through Nov. 19.
To participate, sign up at one of the branches or by using the Beanstack app at sbclib.beanstack.org. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 17; a parent or guardian will need to sign to acknowledge reading accomplishments.
Each child and teen may earn a total of three awards and vouchers during the program.
The goals for those aged 4 to 12 are Level 1, 200 pages; Level 2, 400 pages; Level 3, 600 pages. And for those 13 to 17, they are Level 1, 500 pages; Level 2, 800 pages; Level 3, 1,100 pages.
All who reach Level 3 will be entered into a drawing for a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
