Coat drive

Share your coats with those who need them

By Mary-Justine Lanyon

Most of us have them – coats hanging in our closets that we no longer wear. They may no longer fit – we may prefer a different color – they may belong to our children who have outgrown them.
Now is the perfect time to clean out those closets and donate those coats to the annual Rim Communities coat drive.
Gently used hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and boots are also welcome. Donations of new socks may also be made.
Donation drop boxes are located at the Lakefront Tap Room and the Lake Arrowhead Pizza Deli in Lake Arrowhead Village; at the Lake Arrowhead Brewery; at RB’s Steakhouse in Cedar Glen; at Rim Forest Lumber in Rimforest; at The Parlour Room in Skyforest; at LuluBelle’s in Running Springs; and at The Stockade and California Bank & Trust in Crestline.
Distribution of the coats will take place on Nov. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church, 351 Highway 173 in Lake Arrowhead.
Anyone with questions should contact Josh at (909) 557-5629.
