Detectives investigate death of Crestline man

On Dec. 10, 2022, 60-year-old Kirk Seligman of Crestline suffered a medical emergency while in the process of being booked into the Central Detention Center. Jail medical personnel rendered medical aid.
Emergency medical personnel responded and Seligman was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
On Dec. 11, 2022, Seligman was released from the sheriff’s department’s custody and remained hospitalized. Seligman’s health further declined and on Dec. 21, 2022, he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators with the sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division are conducting the death investigation. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.
Seligman was arrested on Dec. 10, 2022, by deputies with the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station for disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol.
