Deputies discover 33 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

On Jan. 12, 2023, at about 2:45 p.m., Deputy J. Estrada conducted a traffic stop near N. Green Way Drive and W. Arbor Lane in Big Bear City for a traffic violation.

The driver, identified as Ithier Batista, 31, of Miami, Fla., was found to be transporting approximately 33 pounds of processed marijuana. Batista was booked into custody at the Big Bear Jail where he was later cite released.
