Are you a community organization with a volunteer who has really stepped up over the past year, going above and beyond to accomplish your group’s goals?

Or are you a member of the community who can think of a Mountain Hero, someone who has given unselfishly of their time to help their fellow mountain residents?

If so, the Crestline-Lake Gregory Rotary Club invites you to nominate those folks to be honored at the club’s 21st annual Mountain Communities’ Recognition Awards dinner.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at Thousand Pines camp in Crestline.

There are three ways to participate in the event:

  • Honor someone from your organization. This community event offers you the opportunity to give special recognition to someone in your organization who deserves special recognition for their activities and accomplishments.
  • Nominate a Mountain Hero. Mountain Heroes are those individuals in our communities who are not affiliated with a particular organization but who give unselfishly of their time to help others. They do not ask for or seek recognition but make a difference to our communities.
  • As an individual, join us for dinner to honor the award recipients.

To nominate a volunteer from your organization, complete the honoree questionnaire (available from Chair Karl Drew) and submit it with a digital photo of the person.

And to nominate a Mountain Hero, simply provide Drew with the person’s name, how they may be contacted and a written explanation of why you think they qualify at a Mountain Hero.

Drew asks that all nominations and table reservations be submitted to him no later than May 1. To contact him, send an email to [email protected] or call or text (909) 663-7377.
