Time to donate to Rim Communities Scholarships for our high school seniors

Apr 26, 2023 | Education

Rim of the World Communities Scholarship Council has encouraged all Rim High School and Mountain High School seniors to apply for Community Scholarships for college, trade or vocational schools, which may be used to help cover tuition, books or other student fees. Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $2500, depending on the donations we receive from our community. ROWCSC accepts donations year round, but the deadline for the graduating Class of 2023 is May 20.

Since 1957, ROWCSC has been providing monetary assistance to local high school seniors. The Council is proud to have awarded 36 scholarships to 2022 Rim High graduates in a total amount of $35,300. The Council hopes to raise even more scholarship monies this year from community members, businesses and local organizations, so high school seniors will have the financial assistance and encouragement they need as they continue their education and training.

ROWSC Scholarship Awards will be given out to Rim High seniors at Senior Award Night at 6 p.m. on May 23, 2023 in the Rim High Performing Arts Center. Scholarship donors will be invited to attend this event. Scholarship Awards will be given to Mountain High seniors at the MHS graduation ceremony on June 6, 2023.

The ROWCSC is reaching out and encouraging any and all donations from community members, businesses, clubs and service organizations across the mountain.  To donate a scholarship of $500 or more presented in your name, your family’s name, or your business, club or organization’s name, contact the ROWCSC at P.O. Box 1816, Blue Jay, CA, 92317, email the ROWCSC at [email protected] or call (909)-337-2997.
