If you missed the production of High School Musical at Rim of the World High School, you missed an evening of great entertainment.
With just four weeks to cast, rehearse and fine-tune the show, Rim High Theatre rose to the challenge. The show was directed by Teddy Nicholas, choreographed by Abbigal Ochoa with musical direction by Kari Stebbing.
Freshman Emily Salazar and junior Joshua Jozens (1) were perfectly cast as Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton. They played against rivals Ryan and Sharpay Evans (2), portrayed by sophomore Owen Bennett and junior Katharine Bouchard.

The tension between the science decathlon team and the basketball team (3) was palpable. What will Gabriella and Troy do? Will they let down their teams or will they go to their call back for their school’s musical?

The singing and acting were complemented by the stellar orchestra pit (4), conducted by Kari Stebbing. The eight musicians added a component to the show that truly brought it alive.

Rim High Theatre usually presents a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. We at The Alpine Mountaineer hope to bring news of these shows prior to their staging and encourage the community to support the students. We can promise you won’t be disappointed.
