Following an investigation by the sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division and county Probation Department on Thursday, June 15, an arrest warrant was issued for 62-year-old Mark Harrigan. Subsequently, Harrigan was arrested for his outstanding arrest warrant for Criminal Threats (PC422), Prohibited Person in Possession of Firearms (PC29800(a)(1) and Maintaining/Operating a Drug Residence (HS11366). The 15 firearms were seized for evidence.
Despite no mention of gunshots fired in a sheriff’s press release, a nearby neighbor told the Alpine Mountaineer that she heard two shots fired during the raid.
