The Rim of the World Unified School District is once again offering free school bus passes as well as no-cost breakfast and lunch to its students.

Parents and their students can sign up at the Rim bus garage, located behind Rim of the World High School, on Aug. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Aug. 2 and 3 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (the garage will be closed for lunch from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.). The address is 27380 Highway 18, Building H. Call (909) 336-0330.

Students who attend and complete the bus pass application and the income data form will have their names entered in a raffle for a variety of prizes.

Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to sit in one of the school buses and meet the bus drivers. They will be able to pick up a school bus activity book, pencils, erasers and stickers.

In addition, there will be an arts and crafts table set up so students can make their own bus pass backpack key chain while their parents are busy with the forms.

Interested in taking a ride on a school bus? On Aug. 2 and 3, rides will be available – first come, first serve – at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

If students are unable to accompany the parent, the parent should bring a current photo of their students with them.

For the safety of all students, bus passes will be required to ride on the Rim buses in the 2023-2024 school year. There will be no exceptions.
