Golf green with hole and red flag

The UCLA Mountain Bruins Club is sponsoring their first annual scholarship golf tournament on Monday, Aug. 21.

The club’s goal is to ensure that every student qualified to attend UCLA is able to do so. To that end, they award numerous scholarships each year to Rim High graduates as they make their way through the four years of college.

The golf tournament will take place at the newly renovated Arrowhead Country Club, located at 3433 Parkside Drive, San Bernardino.

Registration will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and a Bloody Mary bar, followed by a shotgun start at 8:30. The awards luncheon will take place at 1:30 p.m.

There will be the opportunity for golfers to win what are being called “the best raffle and auction items at any tournament this year.” In addition, there will be four opportunities to win a weeklong vacation in Mexico and a chance to win $50,000. There will also be a pre-match shootout.

Tickets for individuals, foursomes and lunch-only are available at www.uclamountainbruins.org, where sponsorships are also available.
