Floor hockey

Aug 17, 2023 | Sports

Youth floorball game, player scoring goal.

No ice required!

Hockey when there’s no ice? You bet!
The Rim of the World Recreation and Park District is sponsoring floor hockey for youth ages 8 to 15. The program will run from Sept. 5 through Oct. 26 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Floor hockey has become popular as it is a great alternative to traditional winter hockey as it can be played anytime of the year.
This is an “open gym” type of program: Players can show up and work on their skills or create their own pick-up games.
All players are required to wear gym shoes. Rec and Park will provide hockey sticks and equipment but players are encouraged to bring their own.
The program will take place at the Lake Gregory Education and Community Center, 24740 San Moritz Way, Crestline. Cost is $100 per players. Register at www.rim-rec.org.
