On Aug. 25, board members and supporters of the Save Our Forest Association (SOFA) spent the morning cleaning trash from the Rim of the World Scenic Byway – Highway 18. Pictured are volunteers Melodee S., Scott S., Heather S., Amy G., Lori S., Lyn D. and Alex H. SOFA’s mission is to maintain and enhance the mountain quality of life and protect our natural resources. They interact with the U.S. Forest Service, the state of California, the County of San Bernardino and local regulatory agencies responding to county development proposals, special use permits on the San Bernardino National Forest and water quality concerns in our local streams and lakes.
