The Mountain Christian Women’s Fellowship holds monthly teas from October to May. The first tea of the season will take place on Friday, Oct. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.

October’s speaker, Sharon Haig, is excited to share her story of transformation – “A Living Hope” – after living a life of codependency and battling through 28 years of marriage to an alcoholic. She will share how God restored her life and helped her through both the programs of Al Anon and Celebrate Recovery in understanding the role of a codependent.

Today, Haig is a facilitator for Celebrate Recovery and her passion is to help others understand that we serve a God of love, forgiveness and compassion in hopes that her personal testimony can encourage others who have had struggles with addiction and codependency.

Her desire is that everyone would know that God has a purpose and a plan for their life as it states in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

The Oct. 6 tea will take place at Church of The Woods, 1410 Calgary Drive, Lake Arrowhead.
