Countdown to Christmas

Nov 22, 2023 | Communities, Upcoming Events

Notebook with 'Upcoming Events' text, coffee, pen.

No sooner has the Thanksgiving turkey been eaten than attention gets turned to Christmas. And what better way to do that than to celebrate with a Christmas tree lighting.

The first one of the season on the mountain will take place at Lake Arrowhead Village on Friday, Nov. 24 with the arrival of Santa at 6 p.m.

Santa will then make his way to the B building next to Pendleton, where folks can have their photos taken with him. On Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 24, people can return from 12 to 3 p.m. for more photos and then from 12 to 3 p.m. from Dec. 18 through 22.

The tree lighting in Running Springs will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be photos with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies, candy canes and a children’s book exchange. It all takes place in downtown Running Springs at 31961 Hilltop Boulevard.

And then, on Saturday, Dec. 2, it’s the Crestline Family Christmas, sponsored by Goodwin’s Market. The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Lake Gregory north beach parking lot.

The tree lighting and telling of the Christmas story will happen at 6:30 p.m. Santa will hand out gifts to children 10 and under. All are welcome to take photos with Santa. There will be a bon fire, live music and free hot dogs, coffee and hot chocolate.

Merry Christmas from all the communities on the mountain!
