Reaching out in support of education

Once again, John and Heather Hackney opened the doors of the Lakefront Tap Room to the Rim of the World Educational Foundation, where the Foundation held its Giving Tuesday celebratory event. Members of the board (1) talked with guests about the programs Rim Ed supports: AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), CTE (Career Technical Education) and Partnership with Schools grants. John Hackney presented President Jo Bonita Rains (2) with a check for $1,000. Rim Ed raised $6,895.28 as a result of Giving Tuesday donations.
