David M. Dohoda, a longtime resident of the San Bernardino mountains, passed away on Dec. 5, 2023, at the age of 70. He grew up in Downey. A 1971 graduate of Downey High School, Dave pursued his higher education at Cerritos College.
In 1981 Dave purchased Rebilt Metalizing in Cudahy, Calif., where he had served as operations manager. In 2000, Dave expanded his business into Riverside County and began operating as Allen Industrial Machine from Banning, Calif.
A dedicated and passionate businessman, Dave spent over four decades growing his business into one of the preeminent names in his field, servicing a multitude of industries in Southern California.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Peter Dohoda; mother, Arleene Kress Dohoda; and brothers, Jamie and Jon Drew Dohoda. He is survived by a large extended family including his wife of 15 years, Kathryn Dohoda, and sister Deanne Youngblood (John); his children Megan Brenna, Devin Nutt (Jason), Andrew Dohoda (Janessa), Caitlin Jiron (Josh), Daniel Dohoda (Hayley), and stepchildren Alex Colunga (Austin) and Carly Colunga.
Dave was blessed to be the grandfather of 13 grandchildren. His extended family includes Rebecca Dohoda, Michael Chance, Terri Chance, Shawna Griggs and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
