San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe has announced she is partnering with Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities to provide home repair and maintenance services for qualifying individuals in the Rim communities.
On Jan. 9, the board of supervisors unanimously approved her proposal to provide a $50,000 grant to Rebuilding Together so they can work with residents directly to administer the program.

The local chapter – which is part of a nationwide organization that assists low-income older adults with home repairs – has been operating in the San Bernardino Mountains for more than 30 years and has made a significant impact on the community.
“The 2023 winter storms had a devastating impact on the mountain communities,” Supervisor Rowe said, “and many homes were damaged. This has left some residents with a long list of home repairs and many of them did not receive federal financial assistance.
“These funds will go directly to helping those who need it the most,” she added.
Anyone interested in applying for this program should reach out directly to Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities: (909) 336-3910 or info@rtmc.build.
Supervisor Rowe has served on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisor since 2018, when she was appointed. She was elected to her first term in 2020 after receiving a majority of the vote in the primary election. She is running for re-election in the March primary.
She is currently chair of the board and represents the 3rd District, which includes the Rim communities.
