Students who will be attending Cal State San Bernardino this fall and who are residents of the communities within the Rim of the World Unified School District are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.
Scholarship applications are due by April 2 and will be accepted through the MyCoyote portal on the CSUSB website, https://www.csusb.edu/financial-aid/current-students/scholarships. Applicants must have a Coyote ID number to apply.
Funds for the scholarships are raised through the Mountain Communities Scholarship Society, which promotes advanced education for students living in the greater Rim of the World Unified School District.
Over the last 20 years, more than $600,000 has been awarded, benefitting 184 students. Recipients who receive an award and maintain a 3.0 or better GPA at CSUSB are eligible for annual renewals for up to a total of four years.
Scholarships are available to all majors, with preference being given to nursing or health care-related majors.
Financial need is considered but is not essential.
Students may have full- or part-time status as an undergraduate or graduate student.
For more information on how to apply, contact the Cal State San Bernardino Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (909) 537-7399. Virtual workshops on scholarships and financial aid are available; visit the scholarship website for more information.
