The April 5 tea held by the Mountain Christian Women’s Fellowship will feature speaker Marlene Lopez and musician Pearl Harry.

The tea will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Church of the Woods, 1410 Calgary Drive, Lake Arrowhead.

Lopez – a retired educator, wife, mother of four young children and cancer survivor – will be speaking on “The Broken Vessel.” She herself is the griever of a broken vessel, her son, David.

“We all struggle to keep our lives together in a world that is falling apart,” Lopez said. “When others around us are struggling, we may try to help them put the pieces of their broken or shattered lives back together but, in the end, only God can restore the broken vessel.”

Pearl Harry

Musician Pearl Harry is a student athlete in her junior year.  She leads worship for her high school youth group at the Packinghouse as well as for chapels at her school, Packinghouse Christian Academy.  She and her band Rooted have just started recording and releasing music on Spotify (under PCA Collective).

The Mountain Christian Women’s Fellowship is an interdenominational group of Christian women dedicated to sharing God’s message of love, hope and forgiveness with the women of the mountain.

Reservations for the tea are requested. Call or text Beth at (909) 223-1285; $10 is payable at the door. Childcare is available at $1 per child with a reservation.

Ladies are asked to bring their own special tea cups plus a tea H=hat if they have one. The Fellowship will provide delicious food, tea and fellowship.

For those who cannot attend, the tea will be live streamed on three different platforms: www.facebook.com/MountainChristianFellowship; www.facebook.com/ChurchoftheWoods; www.churchofthewoods.org.
