Crestline suspect arrested for cruelty to animals

On Monday, March 18, 2024, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station investigated reports of animal abuse at a residence located on the 24000 block of Finhaut Drive in Crestline.

The investigation revealed Sarena Kelly Walczyk, 26, was physically abusing a dog at the residence.

On Friday, April 5, 2024, deputies located and detained Walczyk for an outstanding warrant for cruelty to animals. Walczyk was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for PC597 (cruelty to animals). The abused dog was rescued and turned over to San Bernardino County Animal Control.
