Are you in the mood for a good murder mystery?
This weekend and next, Rim High Theatre presents Clue.
This high school version of the play is based on the 1985 movie, which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game.
At a remote mansion, six mysterious guests gather for a dinner party. At the mansion they meet Wadsworth, the butler (Aidan Lynch); Yvette, the maid (Danesha Symonette); and the Cook (Maddie Burkitt).

With two of the bodies – Mr. Boddy and the Cook – on the sofa, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Yvette, Wadsworth and Miss Scarlet try to figure out who the murderer is.
As the evening progresses, one body after another is discovered by Miss Scarlet (Emily Brotherton), Mrs. Peacock (Alex Cortez), Mrs. White (Emily Chaidez), Colonel Mustard (Josh Jozens), Professor Plum (Justin Alan Walker) and Mr. Green (Nico Walsh).
Anyone familiar with the board game knows there are numerous possibilities as to who the murderer is, where the deed was done and with which weapon (was it the wrench? the rope?).
As the play comes to an end, the players announce one scenario after another: “That’s not how it happened. You have it all wrong. It happened like this!”
The audience in the Performing Arts Center at Rim High will be impressed by the sets, created by Carter Wade and his crew – Jacob Lawson, Avrie Milford and Milla Vais.
Other actors include Avrie Milford (Singing Telegram Girl), Jacob Lawson (Mr. Boddy), Brigid Mansfield (the Motorist), Jacob Lawson (Chief of Police), Hayden Hemstreet (the Unexpected Cop) and Melody Trenchard (Backup Cop).
Crew members include Katarina Hardyman, stage manager; Carter Wade, assistant stage manager; Mariah Agee, sound lead; Justin Alan Walker, lead lights; Layila Dennis, Piper Osterhold and Asher Lowery, light crew; Deja Ayon, lead costume; Emily Salazar, costume crew; Emily Chaidez, lead hair and makeup; Brigid Mansfield, hair and makeup crew; Bex Brower and Luna Thompson, floating crew.
