Rim Special Athletes (RSA) recently sponsored a free day at SkyPark at Santa’s Village for about 50 of their members and their families for a delicious lunch and play day. RSA’s summer programs begin in July with fun at Lake Arrowhead, including swimming at the lake and using aqua cycles and other water toys for participants and family members. They also offer year-round yoga classes, winter snow skiing and other activities for these local individuals with visual and hearing impairments, amputations, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, Down syndrome and autism, as well as many other cognitive and physical disabilities. See their website www.rimspecialathletes.com for more information on this unique free activity program for adaptive individuals. Pictured are RSA President Jack Cooperman with two participants, Phyllis and Miranda, at SkyPark enjoying the pizza lunch.
