An ongoing construction project to replace a damaged electrical vault beneath the pavement adjacent to Snyder’s Tire Works at 23952 Lake Drive in Crestline is nearing an end.

The repaired concrete electrical vault is lowered into a subterranean cavern adjacent to Snyder’s Tire Works on Lake Drive.
The concrete vault reportedly suffered damage from floodwater caused by pavement slippage at that location from this spring’s intense rainstorms.
The project, conducted by Phoenix and Bullhead City-based Arizona Pipeline Co., has been the bane of many motorists for several weeks due to traffic delays and re-directed traffic routes, ever since mid-May. The 30,000-pound vault was lifted early in the morning of Wednesday, June 19 by a heavy-duty crane from Santa Fe Springs-based Able Crane Service.
The project, which will require massive pavement repair, is expected to conclude sometime before next month’s Crestline Jamboree Days parade.
