The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce June mixer was held at Arrowhead Premier Properties in the upper parking lot of Lake Arrowhead Village, overlooking the lake, which had a lovely view, as the sun set during the event.

The live music was fantastic and the host, Brian Cohen, who has been listed in the New York Times as one of the top real estate professionals in the nation, was introduced and his past accomplishments were highlighted. “I bring over 23 years of experience in the real estate industry as an investor,” Cohen said, “and I know how to get homes sold. I recognize value and understand how to add value.”

Cohen shared the excitement of his new magazine and an upcoming Great Gatsby fundraiser he will host at his home on Sept. 14 for the Rim Special Athletes, with all of those who attended. He is seeking others who would also like to co-sponsor the event. Cohen led the dancing to the music of the 60s and 70s, performed by Danny Arroyo.

Arrowhead Premier Properties has just published its first magazine for summer 2024, which lists all the concerts, farmers markets and other activities on the mountain. It dedicates four pages to a map to the more popular hiking trails in the local area. It also has articles with information on real estate as a tangible asset with additional intrinsic value. Other articles are on mortgages, how to maximize a sales price, staging a home for sale and, of course, listings of homes for sale and rent. It introduces Arrowhead Premier Properties agents, sharing each of their extensive backgrounds, accomplishments and awards.

The food was catered by Estaban for Catering, with many varieties of appetizers and dessert items. The event was perfect to the small details, such as monogrammed napkins. The wines were private label brands, poured by Joe Delgado, who, as a corporate gifting wine concierge, has been in the wine business for 25 years, representing wines in California, Mexico and around the world. His expertise is helping pair wines with food and he offers wine testing experiences for businesses.

There were three raffle baskets: Sheila Arnett won the basket from How Money Works, which contained actual cash and collectible historic figurines. Lorna Polley won twice but refused the second basket and was thrilled with the private label bottle of wine she did receive. She had previously commented on the excellent food and wine at the mixer. Noah Anderson won the basket from the Lake House in Cedar Glen.

The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce announced that Brewfest is back and will be held on Sept. 7 on the waterfront of Lake Arrowhead Village. The chamber is seeking volunteers to be docents at houses for the annual Lake Arrowhead Home Tour, which will be held on Sept. 21.

Several new member businesses of the chamber were introduced and presented membership plaques: Jack Anderson of Edward Jones; David Aldama of Higher Ground HVAC; Vitalogy Health in Blue Jay; and Uptown Escrow.

The next mixer will be co-sponsored by the Rim of the World Historical Society at Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins in Twin Peaks.
