BLU (Fraud/Forged Check) Not Given – For the past two years, RP has been in contact with the IRS reference a stolen refund – about two weeks ago, the IRS provided a copy of the stolen check – it was delivered to RP’s mailbox in Blue Jay back in 2021 when theft occurred – per the RP, the check had two signatures that the RP did not sign – amount was for $2,800.00 – as of now, there are no other incidents – no additional leads

CRL (Warrant Arrest) Island Dr/Forest View Dr – Suspect was contacted during a traffic stop – was found to have two outstanding warrants – the vehicle was expired over two years ago – suspect arrested and booked into CDC

VOE (Vehicle Burglary) Camp Seeley – Sometime between 4:20 p.m. and 5:10 p.m., unknown subject(s) broke the driver’s side window of victim’s vehicle while parked at the Heart Rock trailhead – victim’s’ black Nike backpack stolen – canceled cards, but received a notification that one of the cards was tried at Jensen’s in Blue Jay – white male adult tried to purchase bakery items but quickly left when card was declined

July 31, 2024

RSP (Warrant Arrest) All View Dr/State Hwy 18 – Suspect was in Running Springs to visit a friend – suspect couldn’t find a good place to park his RV – concerned citizen called when he parked it in the wrong driveway – suspect found to have an outstanding warrant for DUI – suspect left RV in church parking lot – was given a ride to jail to clear up warrant

August 1, 2024

CED (Petty Theft) Little Bear Creek Rd – RP provided video of subject removing his outdoor surveillance camera – camera was wedged between two branches in a tree across the street from residence – later located the camera after asking his neighbor if he knew subject – he left the camera on the side of the road – victim desired a report and prosecution

CRL (Vandalism) Orchard Rd – On 7/30/24, unknown subject(s) entered victim’s property via the northern fence – approached a small detached building on the property – subject(s) cut the wires to the video surveillance cameras attached to the victim’s residence – victim discovered the wires had been cut – about noon – victim estimates damage at $150.00 – victim believes it to be neighbors – no video surveillance available – no other suspect leads or information 

August 2, 2024

CRL (Miscellaneous Incident) Dart Canyon Rd – RP requesting deputy to incident location in reference to a strange call she received from a Middle Eastern male – male possibly making threats to RP – per RP, she was involved in the December 2nd terrorist attack and she had been notified that she was on a terrorist hit list – requesting to speak to deputy

TPK (Keeping of Property) Twin Peaks Station – elderly male wanted to surrender his firearms – stated he is getting ready to move to Washington – doesn’t want to take them with him

CRL (Warrant Arrest) Lake Dr/Springy Path – Deputy conducted a bike check – during investigation, suspect had a warrant – suspect arrested and booked into CDC on his charge

August 3, 2024

LAA (Disturbance Verbal) Crown Dr – RP rented an Airbnb with friends – says RP and friends began arguing – friend is asking RP to leave – negative weapons – RP was transported to Valero – RP will Uber or call a friend to pick him up

TPK (Keeping of Property) Lake Forest Dr – Requesting deputy to pick up his firearms – wife has a restraining order against him – court order to turn in his firearms

 August 4, 2024

RSP (Miscellaneous Incident) Valkyrie Dr – RP called reference three males outside a residence with possible firearms – upon arrival, a white male adult walked onto the driveway with what appeared to be a firearm – a show of force occurred – all subjects in the residence complied with orders – walked out to deputy location – subject were detained – firearms were later determined to be airsoft firearms – subjects were filming a video for a film festival

August 5, 2024

RSP (Death Investigation) Spring Oak Dr – 77-year-old male – history of Parkinson’s, high blood pressure, diabetes and dementia

TPK (Arson) State Hwy 189 – Fire investigation found additional evidence at the scene – advised to call bomb/arson – evidence collected – will be sent for analysis – negative video/witness

CRL (Adult Protective Services) Knoll Dr – No report

LAA (Sexual Battery) Stater Bros – CHP transfer – victim and suspect encountered each other as they both waited at the bus stop – a passerby saw suspect holding the victim’s hand – noticed the victim mouth “help me” – the passerby notified the Stater Bros manager who called law enforcement – deputies contacted suspect and victim – through investigation, deputy found that suspect made unwanted sexual advances toward the victim, then kissed victim on the mouth and neck without consent – video was collected from Stater Bros, which tended to support victim’s statement

LAA (Disturbance Husband/Wife) Jagerhorn Dr – Husband and wife arguing over family – wife alleged husband grabbed and squeezed her left hand – wife’s left hand had no visible injuries – husband denied grabbing and squeezing – husband agreed to leave and went for a walk with suitcase – he was advised to stay away due to heightened emotions – both parties were advised of domestic violence laws – both provided report – advised to call back if needed
