Did you know that the greatest U.S. female wrestler of all-time, Helen Maroulis, loves visiting our local mountain community? She also enjoys passing along her skills to our local kids at Rim High’s wrestling facility whenever she visits. She is pictured center, above, in this photo from earlier this year.
Helen, who is already a three-time world champion, an Olympic gold medalist and an Olympic bronze medalist, pinned her way to another Olympic medal in Paris this month at the age of 32!
Her story of resilience by overcoming concussions, PTSD and forced retirement was made into a movie last year (Believe) and was produced by Hollywood actor, Chris Pratt.
Helen is an inspiration to all, especially our local boys and girls who have the opportunity to learn from the best in the business!
